Originally founded in 1891, the company gradually evolved into specialist electrical and refrigerated equipment. Due to our location in the Laurieston area of Edinburgh, the main customer then was the relatively new Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. With developments in temperature control, since the 1930s the company has concentrated on refrigerated equipment especially medical & laboratory, this again can be traced to location of premises and the fact that Edinburgh has a relatively large university with a strong emphasis on medical research.

Low Temperature Storage Freezers

E Series models are equipped with a fully adjustable electronic controller, digital display and audio/visual alarm system giving high temperature and mains failure warning. All models have extra thick insulation and are fitted with remote alarm contacts for connection to independent monitoring or building management systems.

The K Series models offer a low cost alternative to our top of the range E Series and provide excellent value for laboratories with limited budgets.
